KR Choksey has maintained an "ACCUMULATE" rating on Ramco Cements, raising the target price to INR 985 from INR 866. Despite a 22.6% YoY decline in EBITDA to INR 3,141 Mn and a 64.3% drop in PAT to INR 257 Mn, the company’s strong operational performance and expansion plans support this optimistic outlook. The anticipated demand increase from infrastructure projects and improving cement pricing further bolster confidence in future earnings.
Shares of Ramco Cements fell over 3% following disappointing Q2 earnings, with a consolidated net profit decline of 31% quarter-on-quarter and 64% year-on-year, totaling Rs 25.7 crore. Revenue also dropped by 2.3% sequentially and 12.7% annually to Rs 2,044 crore, attributed to a 10% decrease in cement prices and a 3% dip in sales volume due to weak demand during the monsoon season. Year-to-date, the stock has underperformed the Nifty 50, declining 13% while the index rose over 9%.
